Tuning and maintenance of an organ is the most important service that can be offered after an instrument has been installed or cleaned or for one that has been in service for decades. Regular tuning and maintenance ensures that the organ remains a source of inspiration.
Tuning and maintenance work is carried out to the highest standards and from our centrally based location we are able to provide a service to the Midlands, London and the rest of the UK. The company's experience in this area spans no less than two decades, working with some of the most important instruments in the UK including those in the Cathedrals of Coventry, Chester, Manchester and Liverpool Metropolitan, the Parish Church of St Peter, Eaton Square and the City of London School for Boys as well as many smaller.
Depending on the size of an instrument, this work may require a visit of a few hours to several days; we work to the individual requirements and recommend accordingly.
At each visit the tuner will check the organ through and any problems found dealt with. Notification is made if anything requires attention of a more involved nature as well as anything requiring overhaul. Clients are advised on the state of the instrument, so they are aware of possible future problems where expenditure may become necessary.
Every instrument is different, and therefore it is not possible to publish tuning costs, but we do provide a competitive service which from client feedback is described as being akin to that of Mercedes-Benz in the price bracket of Volkswagen.
The discovery of song and the creation of musical instruments both owed their origin to a human impulse which lies much deeper than conscious intention: the need for rhythm in life the need is a deep one, transcending thought, and disregarded at our peril
